    "Rainbow Rising"vs"Heaven and hell"vs"Holy diver"

    Never mind Freddie vs Dio.

Freddie never made a truely flawless classic album while Dio has appeared on three.

And had a writing credit on every single song.

So which is the best of the bunch?

This is tough, even I`m going to have to think about this.

      Well.

      I love all three.

I`m swaying towards "Rainbow Rising" because the songs and the playing are so amazing.

"Stargazer", "A light in the black", "Do you close your eyes"...

      ...all brilliant.

Blackmore, Dio, Cozy Powell, Jimmy Bain and Tony Carey...incredible band.

Where did Tony Carey disappear to?

Good question. He had some big hits in the mid 80's from a solo album and another record released under the name "Planet P Project" and then he just disappeared after that.

They should have just had him sing in Rainbow after Dio left, instead of that pussy Joe Lynn Turner, who turned them into Foreigner II.

All are good but Holy Diver still gets the most rotation on my stereo. Great head banging rock to jam on while working out.

Heaven and Hell, simply due to MR. Tony Iommi. The Iommi/Dio combination...there are no words...

Tony Carey recently did an interview, and by recently I mean a few years back, stating that he'd be happy to do a Rainbow reunion - shortly after that, Ronnie was asked about it and said that so many years have gone by, the momentum a Rainbow reunion would have had has been more or less lost, and that it was just too late to see it...

Besides, I don't honestly think anybody could convince Ritchie to do it...I guess he's satisfied selling 80 copies of each new Blackmore's Night release...

Dio could always sing on the Blackmore's Night albums. Lyrics about Rainbows and Elves and Dragons would fit that Rennaisance Fair crap perfectly :D

Dig all three, but Holy Diver gets more spin time from me.

There is no such thing as a flawless album-everything can be improved. However, out of these 3-Heaven and Hell. Dio is my favourite period of Sabbath.

Where are the flaws on "Heaven and hell" then?
