Couple summers ago, before Cybertruck was available at Tesla stores, this tourist walks up, points at my Gladiator, and asks "what does that do, that a Cybertruck won't do?" My only reply was that Gladiators were available to buy right then and Cybertruck was not. Now I see that Cybertruck isn't very good offroad or really anywhere.

I did wonder if you had maybe had a look into it. The build quality looks terrible though and would be no use off road for you.

I was kind of surprised that recently James May seemed to quite like the look of it, to me it always somehow reminded me of that car that Homer designed,

There's always the perception that Chrysler products have poor build quality. I haven't really had issues with any of mine. I've read the articles about Tesla quality and seen the panel gaps etc close up.

I like the instant torque but yeah Cybertruck isn't tall enough for where I go. I did manage to get my Wrangler wedged on a rock last time I was wheeling and used my winch to get out. With it's length, Cybertruck would have been tight on that trail and doesn't have the ground clearance for most of the park.

There have been a couple of the Rivian pickups at the park and they've done okay on the "stock vehicle only" trails.

I saw the May clip. Might as well drive a Tesla while promoting his new gin!

We had a couple Dodge one ton trucks with the Cummins diesel in them and had no problems and they were towing some heavy 5th wheel trailers on a regular basis.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

The cyber truck is a novelty item. It’s made from the same stainless steel the Space X rocket is. I wouldn’t want an electric vehicle in an off road situation.

                Just watched the video.

He's niggling about a couple things. The high load into the bed...a lot of people run caps or tonneau covers. I have three trucks, both Jeeps have tonneaus and the Silverado that was my dad's has a cap. So we're loading through the back 95% of the time. The rear view mirror on the Tesla is useless with the bed covered. It's a pain in the ass to see out the back of my Chevy due to a tinted window on the cab and then two windows on the cap, and on my Wrangler I mostly only see spare tire in the mirror.

Cybertruck bed is 6 feet long. My Gladiator is 5, and I think the Chevy is closer to 6 1/2 feet. My kayaks still stick out over the tailgate. I feel more comfortable with them in the Chevy vs the Jeep.

One of the YT channels I watch installed a set of tracks on their Cybertruck and broke the front A arms. Sure, that's an extreme mod. Not sure a Cybertruck would be able to run 35 inch tires like I have. Lot of guys are running 37's now. I may be soon!

I ripped a fender flare off my Gladiator, got a lil' too close to a tree. Bought an OEM one from a Jeep dealer on eBay, took it to the body shop in town to have it painted, and installed it myself. Cost me about $500. Not going to DIY much with the Cybertruck. I've heard that about Tesla too, that they're very anti-DIY.

Guy in the finance office where I bought my Wrangler last year mentioned he had a Mustang Mach E, I asked how it was. He said he traveled from Columbus through Dayton and up into Michigan frequently and that trips had to planned like you're traveling with a toddler. Gotta plan your feeding stops. Ugh. I wouldn't want to sit at a charging station that long.

There was one Cybertruck at the auto show this year. They wanted $10 if one wanted a picture of themselves sitting in the front seat, and they had to fill out a contact form. Pass.

Towing with any of the electrics doesn't seem to be as advertised. Another channel I watch towed an old Model A with the Ford Lightning electric and the range was not as expected.

I probably have bought my last "new" car anyways. I'll keep these as long as I can.

I heard a guy who is high up at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory say 'I don't know anything about cars but I do know a lot about rockets and that's why I would never buy a car from Tesla...'

The cybertruck is the latest embodiment of what Jello Biafra would call "a life sized hot wheels car for some dumb rich kid"

If Musk sometimes feels like a villain from a Bond movie the funny thing is when you look into to his bio its exactly like one or maybe even an Austin Powers villain.

He's not a science/engineer guy at all, he comes from one of the richest families in apartheid South Africa and his step mom is also his step sister.

Also Ironically like Trump when you follow where the big money came from it's the US taxpayer...

Not if you live in a country which has laws about pedestrian collision safety standards.
