    Confused...

So Hunter Biden is the first person in US legal history to be convicted for buying a gun while being a drug addict who didn't commit another crime.

Do people still think that Biden controls the DOJ on who it convicts?

No... there's a lot of people convicted of the same thing and doing hard prison time. Nothing new or historical here other than it's the current US President's son.

Biden doesn't appear to be in control of much of anything...

Irony is this is probably the first time in history that the rabid right wing was ever happy about somebody getting criminal charges for buying a gun. Why hasn't the NRA stepped up to defend Hunter's "second amendment rights"

A lot of the 2A guys I see on some of the offroad forums are against the case, citing "shall not be infringed" and that the form is illegal, no matter who the person is. Everyone wants to see Hunter get fucked by the IRS though lol
Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.

It's that catch-all narrative for those who are opposed to Biden politically, whereby Biden is simultaneously both mentally incompetent due to advanced age AND able to spearhead a multi-pronged DOJ investigation against Trump AND protect Hunter from prosecution. Sort of a James Bond supervillain in the form of Mr. Magoo.

Personally, I'd never oppose anybody's right to vote for whichever party they choose, nor the right to criticize any president. Point of fact, in a democracy both of those aspects are essential.

Voted for Biden four years ago. That being said, I couldn't say Biden's time as president has approached anything I'd define as a success. Also, [Biden] clearly is too old and lacking in capacity to run again and serve another term in a meaningful way. Hunter is a chronic fuck-up who somehow came to the conclusion that instead of opting to keep his nose cleaner than the average citizen in order to at the very least not embarrass his father [Hunter] should instead opt to get what amounted to in essence be a bribe via payments from a foreign nation and then go on a drug binge when he hit his 40's. Yeah, there is doubtless hypocrisy from the right re: the criminal charges against Hunter, but Hunter has nobody but himself in the end to blame.

It doesn't make a person weaker to admit that they either made a mistake or that their choice of candidate didn't turn out the way they thought. Seemingly, Trump voters are able to rationalize everything their candidate did and does and parrot his claims while using an ends justify the means approach for whatever the Republican Party does as long as Trump is re-elected. Thus, pointing out the hypocrisy of fervent 2nd Amendment advocates who are fine with Hunter's gun conviction is futile, since they are fine living with the contradiction.

Indeed there's a questionable element in this regarding 2nd amendment rights and I suspect it will be challenged at some point within the courts. This Hunter thing is a catalyst to motivate the 2A folks but not necessarily a good case to drive this through the court system. His book and public disclosures of his drug use/abuse/addiction fucked him on this charge.

The IRS case is his next major challenge and one that he doesn't stand much of chance of getting out of. Too much money flowing around him and his notoriety has got a lot of investigative folks chasing the money trails of the Biden family.

Sesh's original post implied Hunter hadn't committed a crime... well the drug buying/use constitutes multiple crimes. The hookers and sex shenanigans involves multiple crimes. Then there's the pay-for-play influence peddling on the Biden name, foreign involvement with several sketchy countries/businesses/individuals and many of which are US enemies, etc... many potential crimes involved there that may be difficult to prosecute but crimes none the less.

One final note... The laptop™... it's now a verified, legitimate treasure chest of evidence that can't be questioned as to it's ownership and authenticity anymore. Another element where Hunter fucked himself and possibly The Big Guy™ too...

It's a little bit like the nazi thing about the jews being sub-human but somehow also simultaneously secretly running the world.

You are in deep trouble when you start having politicians openly attacking your judges, everything falls apart.

I didn't mean it to, I was just pointing out all this crap being said by Trump and his advocates that BIden was controlling the judicial branch of the US government was untrue if he couldn't even prevent what was a relatively minor felony by his son from being prosecuted.

Really? Seems like a kneejerk bullshit comment. In fact, very very rarely is anyone convicted for this nebulous bullshit charge. He was "addicted to drugs"? Okay, how do we legally prove this? If he bought alcohol and then a gun was he "addicted to alcohol"?

It's hard to portray yourself as a rational actor and voice of reason when you so obviously have a MAGA dick in your mouth...

FYI, um no, this charge is almost never filed:

Legal experts said after Biden was indicted that prosecutors rarely use the gun-related statute. A number of senators and representatives told NBC News that ought to change.
“I regret the personal cost to Hunter Biden and his family, but I do think that law ought to be enforced more often because it will save lives,” said Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va.

And other than the obvious that I hate Trump and think this is mostly a partisan reprisal, I have zero problem with Hunter getting his comeuppance for being an entitled cunt and weird douchebag. But for fuck's sake, the guy is not a politicians and was never in the "public trust" and this full MAGA prosecutor going "tit-for-tat" is a complete abortion of justice.

I guarantee you faggot MAGA gun-owner tough guys have violated gun laws at some point but are just fine with this as you are petty, honor-less bitches. with this myopic scrutiny of a non-public figure simply to attack his father. Fuck you all.. You are everything you claim to hate....

Another article, NO these charges are almost never filed unless another crime is committed. But fucking ZahZoo is a fucking legal expert farting facts out of his ass:

The federal statute making it unlawful for a drug addict to possess a gun faces court challenges. The tax charges central to a now-tossed plea deal also rarely result in jail time.

I am old. I am old and not wise as a guy called Shakespeare once wrote. But I am old enough to seek the truth and not bullshit I just WANT to beLIEve to facilitate a belief system one might erroneously think is self-serving , ironically. I wish you at sometime would reach that conclusion, ol' chap MAGhAZoo....
