Most people I know without kids think they should be paying less since they shouldn't have to pay for other peoples kids schools, welfare etc.In response, Vance, who at the time had not yet officially launched his 2022 Senate campaign, suggested that the country needed to "reward the things that we think are good" and "punish the things that we think are bad" -- before suggesting that individuals without children should be taxed at a higher rate than those with children.

We're getting a new school built to replace two 100 year old buildings. Our property taxes went up. While I don't have kids, I understand the value of good schools and I know that we're trying to bring in younger families. However, most of the houses that go up for sale are being bought by investors and turned into Air BnB's. As long as they pay their property taxes, I guess it's okay.
