Non citizens voting in us elections!

Since 2002 in the US there have been 85 cases of non citizens voting in US elections.

    In 22 years.

    Literally billions of votes.

    85 cases.

The Trump campaign is saying that it is an issue.

    Hmmm....

Clearly not a significant nor pervasive problem. Just a blatant exaggeration.

It's not commonly heard much in the political sound-bites from the campaigns... the massive numbers of migrants over the last several years won't have an immediate impact on voting numbers and who gets elected. But thinking in a longer term perspective, this will eventually have a measurable impact on the US political system. If all those folks remain and the rate of newcomers continues it will change the distribution within the House of Representatives which is based on population numbers. Add to that the fact that most "sanctuary cities & states" are predominately Democratic represented and a large percentage of the migrants are being drawn to those areas... it could tip the balance in 6 years.

I find it more shocking that anyone in Washington was smart enough to formulate such a long term plan...

But it's not a plan really.

Your system is completely rigged via senate seats and gerrymandering already and then it turns out that immigrants don't actually like more immigrants any way. The hispanics are going Republican and the young men are going to the right due to the internet.

I was talking to a young educated Mexican recently and was surprised to hear that he and all his family were big Trump supporters.

I asked him 'But do you not know what he says about you guys?'

He replied he and his family were religious so they all support Trump,

I replied 'But but Trump isn't in any way religious and you aren't American so what the fuck?????

      He did a confused shrug.
