Nation, White House Await Fitzgerald’s Revelations on CIA Leak Probe

WASHINGTON (AP) - Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald huddled with his legal team Thursday as two key White House aides awaited their fate in the CIA leak probe.

The term of the grand jury that could bring indictments expires Friday.

The White House braced for the possibility that Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, could become a criminal defendant by week's end. Bush's top political adviser, Karl Rove, remained in jeopardy of being charged with false statements.

Blah, Blah, Blah...........

Libby = Indicted 10/28 on charges of perjury, and Obstruction of Justice

Rove = Indicted 10/28 on charges of Obstruction of Justice

I don't think any other charges will be filed, but both will be forced to step down.

I'd say those are about as strong as it'll get....maybe even lighter than that.

Even so, it's a victory for the White House.

The Dems wanted an indictment on exposing a CIA agent. They won't get that one.

I predict a lot of pissed off Democrat's when little to nothing really effects Bush in all of this.
The indicted dozen will be fired and replaced giving Bush a second wind to ride for the remaining 3 years.

He's not a Lame Duck just yet, and THAT will be the straw that breaks the Demels back, lol.

I think y'all's expectations may have been set a little too high. the trouble looks as though it stopped just short of W's door step.

Listen people, this is not different than Watergate. And, Rove won't be able to get near the President to give advise if he's indicted.

Indictments aren't the END.

They are just the BEGINNING.

Example of evidence revealed to the American people in trials of the White House indicted:

1) Nixon had tapes!

The rest is history.

Now you have to look at anybody's office, your own for example (if you had one).

Who's office is Libby working in?

The Vice President of the United States of America.

Who's office is Rove working in?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

And you mean to tell me that all of these men are doing their own thing in that 'office' without any knowledge of the office HOLDERS?

Who runs that office, the aides or the office holder(s)?

Who is RESPONSIBLE for that office?

I think everyone should wait until this grand jury expires it's time either today, or it may ask for an extension today, which is not legally out of the question, but nobody has mentioned a last minute extention request here (it's been slightly mentioned in the news that a Friday extension request is also a possibility).

Everything we've all said here is possible.

Let's wait for the facts and the news.

Then we can read it all and weep together.

Trials mean discovering 'what' they (the indicted) were covering up.

The trials mean discovering the 'motive' for 'what' they were covering up.

We already know the 'motive' of the Watergate indicted and we already know the 'motive' of these yet to be indiceted is to lie to the American people and to lie to the world at the UN to take the United States of America into an illegal war.
