i saw a stat on one of our news sites which had double that figure for the u.s.

roughly 10x ours per 100,000. the vast % of ours are what the cops refer to as 'sos' violence.
that means 'shit on shit', or crooks killing each other.

The point of bringing in examples of other countries isn't to say they are more or less violent the argument is that their murder rates are far far lower and whether their gun laws are the reason for that.

I've been told England has a big problem with them by my british friends; I have no first hand experience, but from what I understand they usually roam in gangs with knives and jump people on little provocation.
