What nobody's been able to explain is that if America is really a country of "white" privilege, then why are so many non-whites dying every single day trying to get here? Haitians and Cubans drown at sea. Mexicans die of thirst in the desert. People aren't dying trying to escape America.
They actually see it as the best place on earth to better their lives. I would say America's a country of privilege for anyone lucky enough to be here.

We conducted a social experiment last year. Whites and First Nation's peoples. I was shocked at just how bad it is up here. I was $1 short for my restaurant bill. No problem. The Native woman? They were going to call the cops. That's just one example. For EVERY scenario we tried, the whites were treated better.

Last month, I forgot to renew my vehicle registration and got pulled over. It was freezing cold out and when I told the cop I would walk to the insurance office and back, he gave me a ride there and back. I can guarantee you he wouldn't have done that if I was Native.

What I picked up from that clip was their point about unemployment with blacks & Hispanics. It's because they're unemployable, not some fictional white privilege. I don't get it. I went to public school here with a very mixed group. We all had the same opportunity from the get-go. The major difference, from my observation, is I have 2 parents who instilled somewhat of a work ethic and a sense of right & wrong. They have no one to blame but themselves and their lack of community and moral compass. There's privilege here for everyone - it just won't be handed to you.

Native here is what you call American Indian. And here our First Nations peoples are very much treated like a group.

I can't speak for down there, but we tried to kill our First Nations community and stole their children, whom we then sent off to be abused by priests and nuns. Tough to find good role models when you've had 7 generations growing up that way.

Churchill was a racist as were many eulogized leaders throughout history like Lincoln.

Different times, they were ignorant, most people know better nowadays.

It seems to me that young people are a lot less racist and homophobic than the middle aged who are in turn a bit better than old people.

Liberalism has its own history and its own tradition. Socialism has its own formulas and its own aims.

These are the great distinctions which I draw, and which, I think, you will think I am right in drawing at this election between our philosophies and our ideals. Don't think that Liberalism is a faith that is played out; that it is a philosophy to which there is no expanding future. As long as the world rolls round Liberalism will have its part to play - a grand, beneficent, and ameliorating part to play - in relation to men and States.
