Also as a side point on the funding of the US military compared to other countries you have to take a third off because spending includes all that healthcare and education stuff that doesn't come out of military budgets in other western countries who provide it to all their people military and not.
You realize the US covertly put Putin in power don’t you? The reason why is Yelstin was not tough enough to keep Russia together and when you have a country that big full of nukes you need a tough guy to keep the country together and keep it secure. Usually what the idiot politicians jaw jack about or what the media covers is usually a bunch of film flam. Most the politicians are on the take. They will take money from anyone. All this talk about Russia when China is a much bigger problem.

You do have to account for geographical size and population to compare these things...

Scotland is closest in size to South Carolina. 41st in size of the states in the US.

The top 10 metropolitan areas around major cities in the US have more people and infrastructure than the entire country of Scotland.

We don't just shrug... it takes a whole lot more to convert something of this size.

I see. Must be nice to do that when AMERICA is paying for your defense. When China and/or Russia invade your rat-infested castle shithole what are you going to do? Throw some tartan on some solar panels and hope they go away? You Euro trash are a bubble of thanklessness and terminal stupidity. When ol' F A T T Y guts your military funding (which he will for everybody except of course, Israel) nobody will still understand your accents even when spoken in Mandarin.
Kristy makes a fair point, minus all the castle shithole / terminal stupidity stuff. Western Europe has for many years enjoyed a budget for non-military activities and projects because in part of their relying on protection from NATO/US. The UK military is formidable, and have The Bomb, but the reason why NATO-aligned countries do not get overrun by their enemies is because of threat of war with the United States.

Like what? Defend yourselves? You tree tossing, kilt-wearing, shit whiskey puking, unbathed ginger pussies live in your own bubble of tourism and xenophobic ignorance. Yeah, when one thinks of all the great accomplishments the Scottish do in the world all you have to offer is stereotypes and garbled language.

Just remember to thank slave FORD and his band of self-entitled Bernie Brats for it.

    Have a lovely day.

I suspect Europe isn't that much better.
