No, genius. The real reason the actually DEMOCRATIC NATIONS are freaking out about Russia/Ukraine is because Putin has made his intentions VERY clear. He wants to bring back the Soviet Union as the superpower it once was...EXCEPT he wants to WIN the cold war this time.

Sadly, it's a sometimes slow but slippery-slope in allowing a democratic society to turn into something far more resembling a dictatorship.

Do you know a few easy ways to spot a potential dictator who could harm a country's democratic institutions & traditions?
1) If he admits that on Day One, he's going to "get even" with those who have crossed him.
2) If (when discussing other world leaders), he especially praises notorious dictators.
3) If he makes public statements that he will "encourage" other dictatorships to invade other countries if they aren't caught up with their "NATO bill."
4) If he has previously attempted a violent coup in our country.
5) If he makes statements like, "A President of the United States must have full immunity (from the law), without which it would be impossible for him/her to properly function" or "All Presidents must have complete and total Presidential immunity, or the authority and decisiveness of a President of the United States will be stripped and gone forever." (There is even more of a red flag if this same potential "leader" has previously called for the current President to be put in jail, muddying the waters concerning the real motivations behind certain leaders' needs for immunity.)
