This whole business of having an ID to function in life is older than you or me... It's not some new thing in the least.

I will say if an elderly person who gave up driving and actively functioning in the normal business in life a long time ago may not have a valid ID... odds are they also lack the capacity or motivation to get out and vote. So your point is mute there too... Think these thing thru Nick... not that complicated or relevant.
Agreed. If people can’t figure out how to get registered and have the proper ID, then they aren’t intelligent enough to make intelligent voting decisions.

I have a voter ID card mailed to me from the county courthouse. Most recent one was last year, after the redistricting that takes place following the census every 10 years. It's more or less irrelevant, since this state is exclusively vote by mail now, but if I needed the ID for some other political event - such as the election year Presidential caucus - it would serve for that purpose and would tell me that my official "polling place" is the elementary school a couple blocks away.

Of course we no longer have the caucus in this state either, but don't even get me started on that bullshit. Just another power grab by the Seattle division of the Clinton Turd Way Cult, still crying about how Her Royal Cuntness lost the caucus in both 2008 and 2016... and it was by a landslide in the latter case.

Well "moron", whatever laws that have been on the books, I think 1950 was the first one IIRC, they were pretty lenient and one could vote with a library card without a picture and were largely ignored. It wasn't until white people became a shrinking demographic in the 2000's that Republicans started to take these laws seriously and enact much more stringent ones...

What if they don't lack capacity or motivation to vote? Fuck them? What is even the point of any of these laws, there are almost no incidents of voter fraud and even when there are they won't decide an election. The more stringent of these laws are clearly voter suppression...

Not everywhere is the same, probably a lot of small towns are pretty localized for elections but may not have a DMV. Here, in Erie County, the fucktard that was the then commissioner decided we could save lots of money by closing all but TWO DMV's (right after building a brand new one in Orchard Park). This caused massive lines resulting in people driving to nearby counties to go to their DMV's meaning that the county lost a lot of money because they didn't get a cut of the fees and some border counties actually set up mobile DMV's just over the line....

Anyways there will be plenty of drama and blah, blah, blah to keep the political grifters and Internet forums busy. People love drama and noise.

The pay question is over simplified as presented which would lead to me answering "No" without further clarification. For example... 2 people with similar experience of opposite biological genders hired the same time, for the same position deserve the same/equal starting salary. Two years later... those same parties and one is a high performer and the other a lower performer. In a merit based system, which most companies operate your high performer deserves a higher rate of pay than your low performer regardless of which gender they were born with. Its about performance not who has a penis or a vagina.

"No" would be a correct answer in my real world example... Republican or Democrat... right or left... doesn't factor into the equation at all.
Unless they are Union. Unions don't base pay or promotions on merit. They base on seniority. Go figure they're Democrat supporters.

You can be the laziest fuck in the place, with a penis or a vagina, and you'll get the promotion if you've worked there longer. Merit and accomplishments mean NOTHING. What a great system.

Obviously this is NOT a "left-leaning" response to the question. I'm guessing in 2023 that even the majority of Republican voters would support equal pay for equal work. So clearly DeSantis is way off in MAGAtt fringe land here, despite whatever coding error on that website caused that response to have a "blue circle". It's not the only such error on the page.
