Yeah I do remember the times when Reagan was president. Recently watched the movie Reagan and had forgotten that 3 of the Russian leaders died in succession over a relatively short period leading to Gorbachev's rise to power. Plus I remember concerns being raised about Reagan's mental state with the onset of Alzheimer's... at t least he and Nancy announced his having it shortly after he left office. -

The problem is that these old farts have not been doing a very good job of leading the world. Trump, Biden and Putin have made way more mistakes than previous younger incumbents. You're old enough to remember when Russia was run by super old fucks pre Gorbyachev and things didn't go great. Or Reagans second term when the wheels came off. It is a very weird time and the dynamics of the current situation with this election drives me fucking nuts... the people part of it... personality, intelligence, leadership capabilities/style, communication styles, all of those aspects tell me no way I want either of these fucking nutjobs leading the country.
But in order to make a choice, I have drill down into elements that I can see cause/effect from policy perspectives that in the long term will be a somewhat better choice. Obviously it's a gamble because the future is uncertain and the variables are infinite. If I let my brain just focus on an emotional, better person choice... I'd be angry.
