The irony... the very people that can propose such rules are the same who would be impacted if put into law. But it seriously needs to happen.

I get how folks are trying to be respectful to these old farts but... the old farts aren't being respectful to themselves and the people they represent by pushing on when they are not able to perform the job. Either that or their cognitive decline is so damn bad they aren't aware of their decline.

There's got to be a reasonable bar set for people serving in these roles. It can't go on...

Turtle Boy was an old school, evil Republican from back in the days when they still pretended to be about "family values" and "fiscal responsibility." Turtle Boy as much as any other single Republican Commie is to blame for Trump getting the support of the GOP, since back in 2015 Turtle Boy and Paul Ryan could have easily shut Trump down... but they DIDN'T. The Frankenstein Twins built their populist monster, and now, as McConnell's petrifying brain turns to mush he is just cognizant enough to watch the GOP circle the drain of his own creation.

Sen. Mitch McConnell falls twice at the Capitol, reports say

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Gray News) – Sen. Mitch McConnell fell twice at the Capitol Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The Kentucky Republican had just cast a confirmation vote before he fell while walking down a small set of stairs near the Senate Chamber, according to NBC News.
Reuters reports McConnell fell a second time and walked away with the help of other Senators.
McConnell reportedly told witnesses he was “fine” after the falls, according to CNN.
