For a multi-million dollar stoner Rogan's shitcast is tedious pothead late night dorm room talk. Rogan has no formal education, is a failed "observational" comic, terrible actor, and fuck awful MMA commentator but a god damn genius at asking stupid questions (yes, people, there are stupid questions) and pontificating on the stupid answers. That's the secret of life, I guess. Delve into the rabbit hole of conspiratorial trash for your audience of largely uneducated white males who are so desperate for someone, anyone to validate their idiocy and rake in millions while dumbing down America to the point of collective fascism.

Rogan used to be an entertaining listen at times. And he had Bernie Sanders on his show for 3 hours, which was 2 hours & 55 minutes more than any corporate media outlet ever gave him. He had DLR on for 3 hours.... and you have to credit anybody who can keep a talk show going for that long with Dave, given his ADHD/scatterbrained way of doing "radio".

Rogan clearly lost his mind some time during the Cheeto/pandemic years. He wasn't the only one to do so, but he and Jimmy Dore were probably the ones who fell the furthest down the rabbit hole and never came back. Blame it on the horse paste ivermectin, maybe?

Howard Stern commented that Joe seem to have a misogynist streak in him and he seemed abusive or at least rude to any women he worked with or whenever they went to a bar or strip club and they never spoke again although Stern says he likes Rogan and wishes they were still friends.

Funny you should say that. When he first started a kind of video podcast way back, maybe 2010 which was that guy Redban videoing him out and about, he posted a video of him arguing with a girl in an outside bar area. I forget the details of the argument and he may even have been in the right but it was his aggression really put me off. You had him on his tiptoes face right in hers really fucking aggressively berating her on and on. If he was a teenager you would think what a little asshole but when you see a guy pushing 40 acting like that and proudly posting the video?

For years he would rail against anyone getting married and having kids as the biggest fucking losers in the world. He was in his late 30s at this point. A few years later he's married with kids and going to lawyers over a photoshop Flappo did of his wife surrounded by dicks.

I'll still listen to him if he has a good guest on because he is Zelig, as I said he just becomes a fanboy of whatever is in front of him so if it's a real scientist or smart interesting person it will be a good watch just don't expect any great chat from Joe. The problem is that he doesn't know enough to know who not to give a 3 hour platform to and as more crazies came on, the legitimate guests are more wary and less frequent.

Remember when you were young before the internet you would get those crazy guys who would stand on a soap box in the town square with a megaphone shouting about some shit like the apocalypse or Jesus or whatever. Joe must have been that one guy that would stand there in front of him all afternoon half stoned with his mouth open saying wow man.

That was all good until by some freak of technology, timing and chance Joe got millions of guys to stand beside him...

IDK I was watching some stuff with comedian Anthony Jeselnik who seems like a very un-Rogan type of guy. Rogan is a decent interviewer of sorts with guys around his level, other than that he's lost on any wider geopolitical topics...

I didn't hear any of that. We can all grow I think. He has become somewhat more intelligent and mature probably. He leans heavily on decent guests for it to be compelling.

Or he simply doesn't comment on his beliefs that the Moon Landing was faked and that he weirdly flip-flopped on several issues. If you really have a hard-on for Rogan and all that fine, but there are smarter and more worthwhile people out there not capitalizing in being a marginal comedian and largely uneducated social commentator. And they didn't have Spotify shove bars of gold up their asses either..
