John Sykes Les Paul Signature Model

At the suggestion of Phil Lynott ,Sykes replaced the pickup frames and toggle ring with nickle plated ones. The Les paul "Black Beauties"
are a shredders dream if you like fast necks with low action.
Anyone know the price tag $ ?

I don't know, but I'd get one if it had the Gibson ceramics in it instead of those 57's...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

...And how is that REMOTELY similar to the Sykes model Les Paul, when it's a rip-off of a Jackson?

YES, the Mirage series is a complete rip-off of the Jackson soloist...there, I said it.

Burny also makes the John Sykes model, for (guessing) about 1/3 of the Gibson price. I've seen them on ebay somewhat regularly.

I have a Burny version of the Ace Frehely Les Paul. It has the Dimarzio DP101 in the Bridge position and two really good sounding pups in the other two. It plays like a dream, looks great, and I paid $600 for it. And when I say "plays like a dream" I mean I would use this guitar before most of my Gibby's or Fenders based on sound and playability alone.

                    The Gibson costs 5 grand.

I've heard good things about Burny gtrs. Would like to get the Sykes model . Decent pricing. The ones on Ebay are mainly sold one dealer from Japan.

Here are some cool examples of good quality Japanese clones.....

That's the guy I got mine from.

The guitar is truly kick ass, no lie. One of my top 5 that I've ever owned. It's even better than some Gibsons that I have.

                        Did I mention $600 ?

You can't go to this page. You have to go to www.espguitars.co.jp and then to Edwards. Then you go to the Original series. You should find the Sykes-model there.
I didn't say it was the same guitar as the Gibson-model, but it looks the same. And Edwards is very good guitars for very little money.

I always wanted to try out a Burny, and i understand they're good guitars?

Just last Friday I stopped in at my fave guitar shop, and the dude who was there showed me a Japanese copy of a 1959 Les Paul Standard.

Damn it was a FINE guitar.

It looked vintage, the toggle switch cover was yellowed, the pickup covers were nickel plated instead of chrome, and it played superbly. Not only that, the maple top was ONE piece, and had a beautiful flame.

I can't remember the brand name...it started with the letter 'M'.

I was impressed. If you were to put a Gibson logo inlay in the headstock, you would swear it was the real thing.

They also had a 1969 Plexi Marshall head for 3500, and a late 60s Marshall Speaker cabinet that had no tolex on it (it was stripped down to bare wood) for 500 bucks.
