He’s 16 and performing at NAMM. That alone probably has eclipsed what most of you guys have done.

I think there’s ONE person around here who can make fun of this dude without looking dumb, but even he is not doing it.

His myspace has only been up for a few months and he already has 16,193 Profile Views and 11,119 total plays on his myspace player. I’ve seen a few of you guys myspace sites and he already has tripled what some of you guys have.

Well, a promoter once told that if you can only bring in 30 people a night to watch you play, then something’s not right with your playing or the quality of the songs you wrote. So if you only have a few people looking at your website and a few people listening to your tunes, then something IS wrong. Example A: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndid=368668167 My buddy thinks he’s the shit, but look at his total views and plays. If he WAS the shit, then he would have waaaay more traffic to his site. He’s had that website for almost a year.

So you’re right in a way, total plays and views doesn’t mean that you’re the shit, but it does tell you if there’s a buzz about what you’re doing. I don’t think a record label will sign a band that gets only 5 plays a day like my buddy does. I think it would take over two hundred plays for a record label to stop and give him a listen.

I pulled the plug after only after recording five songs. I think the vocals sound the best, and I had NOTHING to do with that. So if I give you crap for your stuff, you’ll always have these songs to throw back at me. A few people where making fun of Ace at Rothfans and the dude was playing in the same type of clubs and bars that Ace was playing in. So if I make fun of him, what does that tell me about myself because I’m playing the same places that he is?

Only 16 years old....I don't wanna hear it.....Back in '92 or so, there we were, just a bunch of guitar hero wanna-be's, the band I was in at the time, and this other band we'd just met....this kid was 18 years old...heavy into Roth-era CVH, as well as Vai and Satch-whom I've never really listened to...

They didn't have a singer...so no gigs...But this kid took an old Les Paul and A half-stack with an old DOD flanger (which I still own, we traded some things) an made this kid look sick. Hell, he made ME look sick, as well as maybe our lead player...That was where I heard "Satch Boogie" for the first time... in our lead players' living room, played by an 18 year-old badass with no singer.

So don't give me that age shit. You either play, or you don't.

And if the kid's 'accomplishments' mean millions of hits on myspace, I can still sleep at night. I wish him luck, but I wish he were better...Is that expecting too much?

Yeah, yeah LMAO...I've been stunt geek at NAMM, too. Was more like 30-something, but even at 16 I was pulling it off, at least FFS. Will that get me a sandwich? Not really....hahaha

Not hating on the kid personally either, he just needs to go home and practice, is all...
