I did, its kinda freaky, totally capacitive... move your hands
and you can totally do the intro to Good Vibrations....

Simple kit, you could almost make it on vero board......

Yeah, its a very simple circuit. However I have had a buddy's Theramin in the trunk for 5 years and still have yet to use it.

I think it is a Big Briar, with the MIDI.

How exactly MIDI is assigned to processing pitch conversion to digital signal I haven't exactly understood, but it can't be very smooth.

For example, guitar synth processors don't do very well that way - a string note going from tremolo slack to full pitch rise replays the sythned note jittery.. plus the lagtime of a few milliseconds doesn't help either.
