LOL. Speaking of after school, does anybody remember the AfterSchool Special "stoned" with Scott Baio.
the guy was a nobody and then he starts smoking pot and he's funny and everybody thought he was cool. What kind of message were they sending? He also giggled like a fool but he was popular. Fucked up show.

the 6 million dollar man clip is hilarious!

Ed was heavily into Peter Gabriel and the guitarist in Genesis(Steve Hackett?) was tapping and making triplets with it in '73.

The last one I saw had a ridiculous fight with a large rubber alligator

It should have been very funny but as it was one of my fave programs back in the day I just found it sad.

I guess that's why you don't see it rerun very often(well not here anyway).

Pretty sure EVH has stated in multiple interviews that he got the idea for slapping ala "mean Street" from funk bass players like Larry Graham.

Well since the Odd Couple show ran from 1970 to 1975, it's not out the realm of possibility that Ed seen this and it inspired him to incorporate it into his playing.

I hope Steve Austin has a bionic dick because if he slaps the salami like he plays the guitar he is going to need one.
