He still can hit that crazy "Slim Whitman" high note. The kind of high note you let out when the sex is good.

I remember reading about Don Rich in GP when I was a kid, though..
I was reading an interview with Marty Stuart...& he was singing Don's praise....then his name came up in a Vince Gill interview.....

I checked him out.....THE TELE tone of the 60's.................

    Horrifying just horrifying!
Yes is is way too layed back...

Think how hard it is for the Rolling Stones to stay together or other 4 or 5 piece rock and roll combos Welk and his type of a band had to keep 30 egos in check to get the gig played .....

and those old fooks on the dance floor made M'erica save from the nazis and rooled the world on the WW 2

    lol...

Face it. We watched Hee Haw because of the Hee Haw Honey's. They had it all figured out. Some big names, good music, hot ass, and some jokes.

Yeah, it was horrifying. Still use the show here in Hell to torment people, in fact. But you can't deny there were some great moments of comedy on the Lawrence Welk show. Most of them not intended as such.....

Here's Roy ripping a Gibson Byrdland another one. You have to love the sequined suit the other guy is wearing. LOL! Dave probably would wear that.

Oh god. Lawrence Welk. We would have Sunday dinner at my grandmother's house and the adults would watch Lawrence Welk. I remember Lawrence was doing candid Geritol commercials on the show. I always wondered what that crap in the bottle was he was pitching. I couldn't stand it. It was time to get out of there.
