    I don't know how anybody can complain about these venues. These types of venues are what Van Halen was born to play in. They fucking made their way playing backyard parties in the beginning. These venues are just bigger backyard parties. I don't care how big, small or luxurious these venues are, or are not. Seeing Van Halen outdoors on a nice summer evening, has to be the pinnacle of seeing this band.

        I couldn't swing the road trip a few weeks ago to Glen Helen Regional Paaaaaaaark in San Bernardino, but I'm headed to Northern VA on Aug. 29th, and I intend on having a great time....

                    And the band sounds great. Dave's been solid as well. Bitching about his vocals has almost reached national pastime levels, but I think he's sounded pretty good to this point.

                                        I agree, but is nice when the amphitheatre is some kind of natural bowl lending itself to a superior sounding (and visual) experience versus a field...
