June 10, 2011...MAX: A True And Dear Friend, Has Passed Away

It is with a heavy and broken heart I announce to you folks that our dear friend MAX passed away this morning after a lengthy and mighty battle with brain cancer. On June 4 of last year, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a horrible and devastatingly aggressive tumor. After several surgeries and some ghastly dialysis (which left him confused and barely able to reason at times), it was determined recently that there was nothing more his doctors could do for him. This matter has been kept relatively quiet by his family, out of regard for his/their privacy.

MAX was my first and truest friend in cyberspace, a man who freely and willingly gave of himself when my own family was in a time of terrific crisis, never asking for a god-damned thing in return. That's the kind of fellow he was.

He loved you guys. He was an at times unhinged, certifiable lunatic, a genuine Roth Army member in every regard and a bighearted, generous and dependable friend. We are all a little bit better off for having known him, and equally lessened by his passing.

Farewell Jeremy. You will indeed be missed.

I felt this news may be coming after DGs last posts in the -Max- thread in non. I was as we all were I am sure hopefull and concerned. Max was in a leader in some of the best comedy this place has ever witnessed.

All my best wishes to his family and friends, and keep me informed.

Anything I can do please ask.

Man, this so sad. Max was fan of CVH/DLR and a true Roth Army soldier to the end . Far too young to go...
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
              Rest in peace Jeremy!

                Indeed.

I really, really hope that whatever God there is has a direct hookup to the new Van Halen tunes for him to listen to. If Gods connection is bad Max, we will play them extra loud so you can listen in.

I wanna say something meaningful & profound here...but just at a loss.

Far too many things to mention about our friendship.

This is devastating news. My thoughts to all friends and family.

I don't think anyone would doubt that Max was one of the Army's most popular and consistently brilliant posters.

Just a suggestion, but I think one of the forums should be dedicated to him.

                              Hah! Sounds like Maximillian, alright!

He'll be sorely missed. Like Chef, Max was one of the first dudes I befriended online & he was an essential part of this site.

Well, we all gotta go & when my time comes I hope I go down fighting, like Max did. He lasted way longer than the doctors told him he was supposed to. I bet he did it just to piss 'em off, the rascal. Make sure none of them would win any bets based on the day he'd be gone.

Actually, you guys shouldn't really feel sad about this. I mean, he just went a bit ahead of us to take care of a few things first. He'll probably have a website up & ready for us by the time we get there.

Just remember Max, Dan's chair has a built in dildo. Yes, I worry about the boy sometimes, too.

                              See ya, brother.
