What would you change about history if you could travel back in time?

If you could travel back in time, and change one historically significant event, what would you change? Please, something other than stop Dave from leaving Van Halen in 1985... most of us would do that, I'm sure. I'm talking about something really important that affects our lives to this day. I believe I would go back and prevent the Kennedy assassination from taking place. Our involvement in the Vietnam war may have never happened had JFK not been shot on that fateful day on Nov. 22, 1963, and thousands of American lives may have been spared. There's alot of other things that would be different that I can't think of right now, but that's the one thing I can think of that would.

I know we had troops committed to Vietnam while Kennedy was President, but he had plans to withdraw them before he was assassinated.

I'd marry the young Sophia Loren. Hell, I could still do it!

I'd save John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Belushi.

I'd join a 70 porn movie in the 70's California - or I would sneak into a Van Halen backstage party, almost the same thing I guess...

Most likely any interference would cause an alternate timeline that would prevent you from having gone back in the first place. And then there's the whole exploding universe thing..

    That, plus Freddie Mercury.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

If I could go back in time I would try to tell actress & sex symbol Sharon Tate back in the early 60's when she was on the Beverly Hillibillies as a guest star not to be at home in August of 69 then she would still be alive today instead of being one of the Manson murder victims.

Saving Jimi Hendrix would be a great idea, who knows what kind of music he may have given us after all these years.....
