I watched the Townshend episode of "Storytellers." Now, I think Pete is fantastic, but I'll say this... the Who would never have been anywhere near as successful with Pete on lead vocals. It's like Van Halen. People say, "Eddie should take over," etc, but when he's done it, it has failed. Daltrey is the Who's David Lee Roth. His importance would only become truly apparent if you took him away.
Oh, and Pete singing Baba O'Riley is sadly, well... lacking.
