    Magic CVH moments!

Sure the whole six pack is magic, but what little moments or details in the make you stop and go "Woah, now this is the shit!!!" What are your favourite distinct moments within the six pack, moments that just trigger something inside you, that just plain give you chills?

    My personal favourtie moments are:

    -the intro to ATBL
-The harmonies in the chorus of Feel Your Love Tonight
-The solo in Ice Cream Man
-The last 30 seconds of Light Up the Sky
-When Dave yells "One break comin up!" in the breakdown of Unchained, and then the song kicks back in
-The bridge in Hear About it Later where Dave sings "You can try me at home..."

I guess I could keep going on and on...

What about everyone else? What little details do find magic about the six pack?

When they hit number one in Oz with Jump..
Even though it wasnt my fave song.
Just being able to say "Told ya" to all the
imbeciles I knew that had no idea about Van Halen..
And they looked like the coolest fuckers on earth
    in those clips back then....
BABY PANA 2 IS Coming !! All across the land, let the love and beer flow !
    Love ya Mary Frances!

Magic? Umm, howz about on And the Cradle Will Rock, when DLR goes "Have you seen Junior's grades?" and then EVH kicks back in on geetar...Awesome...

Another moment I love is when Dave howls "You gotta Rowowowooolllll with the punches, to get to what's real..." Absolutely catchy and electric!!
Without DLR in the lineup, Van Halen is merely Rat Salade...

The beginning of Mean Streets, the feedback! That shit was awesome!

"So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show..."

Speaking of VH II moments, one of the legendary moments in DLR history has to be his ad libbing genius on Beautiful Girls...

(IIIIII LOVE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!) "C'mere Baby, C'mere...." (IIIIII LOVE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!) "What's your name honey, What's your... Hey, hey, where ya goin?!! Hey, Heeey!!" (IIIIII LOVE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!)

The kiss at the end was classic Dave!
Without DLR in the lineup, Van Halen is merely Rat Salade...

If you listen to the break in "Everybody Wants Some" you can tell Dave ad libbed the secretary bit cause he starts to say something and gets cut off by Eddie then starts again". I love that song..
Hell, I'm surprised he got away with the lyrics to "MWM" and "CGTSNM". I love the last verse of "MWM". I get a shit eatin grin no matter what mood I'm in.
And my all time favorite Dave lyric..... "I got an on ramp runnin through my bedroom"!
A buddy of mine at work never liked CVH until I introduced him to them properly. He always thought they were "juvenile". Then I started showing him some of the lyrics and that was that. He's a fan now. He gets the humor and party vibe now. This is a guy who grew up with grunge and its all he knew.
To quote one of my all time favorite tv characters, "I love it when a plan comes together"!
