What I like about the current one is that Ed's in it as well. Kind of suggests they weren't always mortal enemies. (That, and they look like just a common pair of headbanger buds, chowing down on burgers in a McD's parking lot; who'd have know they were destined for greatness...)

Diver Down was the album that got me into Van Halen.
First CLASSIC VAN HALEN recording I ever bought the day it was released...always had my older Brother's VH to listen to before that.....

Although my favorite Diver Down song is "The Full Bug", I have to say that "Big Bad Bill (Is Sweet William now)" shows a band that;
A) Had serious chops to bring it down and swing
B) Made it enjoyable to listen to yet another yet different cover
C) Showed just how damn tight they were as a foursome
D) Had the BIGGEST FUCKING BALLS to even record soemthing like that !!!
If you take out all the friggin covers on Diver Down, it's actually a damn good album. They should have waited and recorded a few more originals to go on that album, then released the sucker. Then it may have been one of, if not the best, VH album.
