The Lakers were a decent team back when they were a TEAM in the 80's. Of course they beat the Sonics in the Western Conference Finals, so then I had to hate them as a rule.
But the Shaq show, which became the Shaq & Kobe show, and then just the Kobe show.... fuck that. Overrated. Overplayed.
Still hate the Fakers less than I do the Yankmees or the Dallas Cowpies though.

Made me remember X-Man. What the fuck? This guy was so fucking good. Sure was fun watching him play, but I think his attitude finally got the best of him & overshadowed his skills.
As for my personal reason for hating the Lakers, I'm a San Diego native and we are taught from birth to hate EVERYTHING Los Angeles. Raiders, Dodgers, Lakers, the smog there, the beaches there, the LA Zoo (fails compared to the San Diego Zoo), everything.
Now I hate them even more because of Kobe. Absolutely no class. I truly hopes he never wins a championship on his own and has to live in Shaq's shadow forever. For the record, I don't like Shaq either, except for the fact that he doesn't like Kobe.
Phil Jackson has fallen victim to believing his shit doesn't stink as well. He's not so much a great coach as he is having been blessed with superb players & weak competition.
And the Laker Girls created Paula Abdul. I don't care how hot you are, that definitely counts against you.

The Kobe-honks constantly go onto a lot of the Cavs forums and constantly talk all sorts of junk, it's really lame and they are pretty idiotic "LeBron is selfish and Kobe is a team player", yup can sure tell you watched a lot of games there buddy.

Yeah i see what you are saying. Lebron is a beast, a freak of nature. He will eventually score more points than anyone i think. People have always disliked Kobe calling him a ball hog, then when he starts playing more like a team they dog him for not being the Mamba. In the end Kobe and the Lakers shut down Lebron and always will.
