So now Republicans are hearing voices, and are obeying them?
I could have told you the Republican Party is just a refuge for psychopathic mental cases without this incident.
The truth is that they realized Boner was the best alcoholic bi-polar poster child the Republican Party has had for some time.
If they smack him down, they were afraid it would damage their ability to posture and pretend to be law-abiding patriotic Christian men, to hide the reality that they actually are corrupt and deranged religious hypocrites who want to destroy the United States.
So they decided to let him continue on. They have been shooting themselves in the feet while grasping at straws for the past 8 years anyway. Might as well try to keep some sort of appearance up.
Well, they realized that they couldn't get rid of Boner, because then Cantor would get the job. And even though Cantor actually agrees with more of the Teabagger agenda than Boner does, he also happens to be Jewish. And that just ain't acceptable to the Religious Reich.
