    Tears of Joy?

Does anyone have any reports of tears of joy during the concert from any fans?

        Charlotte too...
Three time witness to the comeback of the MIGHTY VAN HALEN. And then they faded back into obscurity.

I've been to two shows, Greensboro and Rosemont. Greensboro was exactly as reported (above) with Eddie and Dave.

At the 10/16 Rosemont (Chicago) IL show...

Before Eddie's solo, the crowd chanted "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie..."
Eddie was visibly moved and began to tear up. They dropped the lights to allow him to regain his composure.

IMO these guys appreciate the outflow of support from the fans and it shows. Maybe just maybe the magic will continue through next year including additional dates and a new album <keeping fingers crossed>

I think Ed and Al are finally realizing that they fucked up.

That they fucked the band, that they fucked the fans, that they fucked themselves.

Better late than never but 23 years is a long time to finally realize you destroyed one of the greatest bands in rock history.

I just hope this is more than a nostalgia tour, because I think VH still has a few good years left. And, I hope they put out some nice stocking stuffers before the end of the year

They choked up so much in Greensboro, they forgot to do the "ba ba da shoobie do wah" part.

You are so right, man. Imagine if this would have happened in '96 when they were younger. As good as they are now, back then they could have really brought back the energy from 84. Mike would have been there and our fucking minds would have been blown beyond belief.

Most definitely at Greensboro, it was up on the big screen for all to us to see, there wasn't a dry eye in the fucking house....

At about 7:55 or so, after they hug, you can see Ed wipe his eyes.... Dave was choked up as well....

I don't know....Dave wasn't looking and sounding too good in 1996. He looks and sounds better now.
