i play thru a line 6, with a bad horse 2 pedal. i like the effects there if i chose to use them, but i also like that crunch sound i get from it.

    does me good.

    not everyone can afford stacks.

Worst case scenario...it will look really cool displayed next to your other one. Black/yellow is my 2nd fav...after the black/white. Makes me sad the original is decaying in a box 6 feet under. Is grave robbing still a viable criminal profession? Every time I think about it all I can do is imagine the un-finished pool scene in Poltergeist. /shudder

$300 is not much. People spend that much on a framed picture, lamp, rug, silk plant to decorate their home. Why not a cool guitar?

i spent more on pot last Tuesday. ya know?

i always believed that if you are not doing what you want to do, then you are limited. I hated the idea of being "not good at something".

So i take up hobbies and the guitar has been the best thing I ever could have invested my money on. i love it. girlfriend, dog, guitar, myself, my kids and my bank account. Not necessarily in that order.

it came in. shitty strings, no name pick up. still played ok. I wired an SD JB and changed my strings to a higher gauge. (wished I didnt- fuckin' "tingy) anyways, turns out the locking nuts at the neck are not completely sunken into the groove of the neck. So.....Instead of paying $200 to have some local guy carve it up and make it fit, I bought a used Fender neck and now I have my own franky, yellow & black monster that sounds fuckin hot! Great stuff. Without changing the neck or fixing it, the low E and A strings were giving off some horrible warpy feedback thing.

Glad I changed it. BTW, the Fender neck/headstock was $60, well used and straight as a fuckin' arrow.

              thanks for the JB suggestion!

                    Careful!

Ed didn't like what he got when he cut parts off that guitar.
It's a shame that families should be torn apart by something as simple as....wild dogs

This guitar belonged to a guy I knew in a local band who died. Made out of solid unfigured maple, it weighs a ton.

I'm gonna use a standard 14" bandsaw, same as I used in the video for the mexican Tele tummy- and arm-cut reliefs.

The reason I waited to use a bandsaw, is the bandsaw tables will hold to the blade angle without deviation - if you use a jigsaw or a circular saw, the angle plate never really holds a good true 90* degrees when you're twisting the blade around hardwoods. Good for softwoods like fir or pine..

                            You're still an idiot--

The thing probably sounds great (If you do in fact own it). And most of the guitar's sustain comes from behind the bridge. Don't cut it.
Reading Crazy From the Heat in four hours flat, in a cramped RV, on the return trip of a 3,000+ mile family outing to New Jersey is an enlightening experience you'll never forget.

We all know that's what in his own words "ruined" the tone Eddie loved about the Destroyer.
