Why would a Bear be attracted to a feminine man & not a woman? Maybe he IS attracted to women, he just can't talk to them. The same for women. Why would they be attracted to a woman that makes 'em think of men, instead of a proper man? Maybe they just don't have the self-confidence to talk to a man.

It's sad, but you know it happens.

So this would be a much more deep case than a mere sexual "deviation". One that requires scientific & psychological explanations, like being a nutcase or a weirdo. A creepy motherfucker, even.

As for trannies, apparently those who like 'em DO NOT like gay content. Which means they would not consider such as to be gay. Source? Every motherfuckin' youtube like porn site.

Check out EmpFlix, Tube8, T'n'A Flix, etc...

You have filters foe Straight, Gay & Tranny.

Being an extremely moderate porn consumer myself, I have witnessed much, much bitching in the old days before filters & tags, when all pornography was bundled together & you looked for anal sex at your own peril.

So people started demanding filters. They wanted to look for STRAIGHT anal sex, not gay. Or the opposite. And that's when I noticed the advent of tranny lovers who demanded that their personal poison should not be bundled up with generally gay sex.

And that made me think. And now we go to my first sentence in this subject, because it's the way of the world to go around & around.

        Things are... changing.

So now that I know how to use photobucket, let's get back to the Pauley Perette/Betty Page question for those of you who are too damned lazy to click on a thumbnail.

Good cd. Sound a little thin in spots. Dave voice is different on tape now. He sounded a little strained on the 96 best of tunes also.

"Slam Dunk" is a poor copy of "Hot For Teacher", nothing more.

Well I adjusted the audio (i.e. cranked up the bass real good) and have run it a few more times. Seemed to do the trick, it sounds MUCH better. Dave's voice troubles aren't nearly so obvious. And as usual, he was maximizing what he had at the time. Brian sounds very good - as does Ray.

But I do have to disagree that it could be a VH album. Although it's very pleasing, the style of music just isn't the same. Jesus, did I just infer that Eddie is necessary? Yikes.

                        Oh dear.

The DLR Band is a bit rough, production-wise, but for me that's part of the charm.

In spite of a decent promotional push by Roth, the album (released around the same time as the CFTH autobiography) went nowhere. Yes, sometimes Roth and Co. might be guilty of trying a little too hard in spots on the disc of attempting to channel the spirit of CVH. A tune like Counter-Blast comes across like a second-rate Atomic Punk ripoff with some forced internet jargon/sexual innuendo substituting for lyrics. However, it was a welcome return to form for Dave. To be frank, although I appreciated the intent behind the YFLM album and the subsequent Vegas stint, for me the results were a bit less than stellar. The DLR Band album was a taste of what 1996 could have ended up being had the Van Halens pulled their heads out of their asses.

                          Slam Dunk! fucking rocks.
Lose The Dress (Keep The Shoes) captures the atmosphere of a seedy encounter in a cheesy motel...or the back room of a strip club.
                          Little Texas kicks ass.
King of The Hill kicks ass.
                          Goin' Places is brilliant.
Shot as his voice might have been in comparison to his glory years, Roth belts the fuck out of Relentless for everything he's worth.
Blacksand is a neat little diversion.

Ray Luzier drums his fucking ass off. The various guitarists compliment the tunes just fine. Track-for-track, it is without a doubt the best Roth solo release since ALAE and pretty much miles above anything 'Van Halen' put out since 1985 in terms of spirit, attitude and energy, regardless of the dry sonics and sound.

Yeah, Dave's voice is a bit rough on the album. His voice sounds like the cumulative result of every late night soaked in whiskey with the occasional cocaine chaser. This is countered by his sense of humor, debauchery and image being put on display in spades, and (outside of EEAS) the DLR Band is the one post-1985 release by any member of Van Halen which recalls best what made CVH da bomb in the first place.
                          Scramby eggs and bacon.
