And to the other posts, the fewer people the better. I've all but stopped going to shows with more than say 3500 people in attendance. I'm tired of having to pay high ticket prices to get a good seat. VH is about the only exception I'll make anymore.

I dont consider 12,000 too bad...that's a typical crowd for shows Ive seen...except VH at 15,000 or so in Greensboro...I think it may have been more in 2007

I saw 4000 tix sold thrown around here and figure Aerosmith will make it 12000...I think they are the bigger draw (sadly)...maybe thats high considering only a couple weeks remain..

I kinda agree Aerosmith is the bigger draw. Way more publicity especially with Steven doing awards shows & American Idol and everything else. But maybe everyone has already seen them due to over touring.

As far as ticket sales, is this show being advertised a lot down under?

Speaking from a UK perspectice, Aerosmith would be much bigger draw here than VH. The brother's reluctance to tour outside of the US hindered the size of their fanbase over the decades...

And you can say what you want about Aerosmith, but they've been steadily releasing music with a consistent line-up and touring over the years with a brief exception a long, long time ago. They've had their dramas and I'm really not at all a fan of anything after Pump, but they've managed to hold things together despite the personality clashes. Van Halen's last true shot at redemption and reclaiming the former glory of their 80's crossover popularity was 1996. Aerosmith has been pretty steady since 1986....

For steadies, Dave tends to look a little deeper. The DDE rep took that pic and could confirm or deny, but I'm not going to bother her. If Dave wants us to see her, we will.

I'm guessing again that maybe when he first went to Tokyo he was looking for an interpreter or language teacher and it went from there...I'm guessing she's intelligent whoever she is.

I'll give Aerosmith some props for keeping busy with their touring, but as far as recording goes, I think there Best Ofs and Greatest Hits compilations out number their studio releases. They're like the George Lucas of rock with how they repackage and rejam the same crap down their fans throats.
