DNC: The Party of Bigots
The Democrats contend that they are the party of equality and civil rights. But, their past and present reveal a party dedicated to bigotry
Look no further than ex KKK member Senator Robert Byrd (D-West Virginia). A man who has assaulted African Americans is continually empowered with high power committee positions.
Here is a little sample of Byrd's rantings.
Byrd on "race mongrels." "[I will] never submit to fight beneath that banner [the American flag] with a Negro by my side. Rather would I die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds." 1947 letter by Robert Byrd.
Democrat Senator Chris Dodd proclaimed that Sen. Byrd "would have been a great senator at any moment. He would have been right at the founding of this country. He would have been in the leadership crafting this Constitution. He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation. .... "
I guess he would have been “right” by DNC,standards, during the Civil War by touting the Democrat party line of slavery in all 50 States.
Democrats have blocked Miguel Estrada from getting a court appointment because, according to their memos, " he is Latino.”
Al Sharpton, a man who was put on the DNC payroll and spoke on behalf of the party in Boston has repeatedly attacked Jews. In his most infamous attack, Sharpton instigated thugs to burn down a Jewish owned store (Freddy's) because "They think they gonna drive this man out of business, they gotta be out of their minds. We are not gonna stand idly by and let a Jewish person come in Black Harlem"
Catholics have not escaped the bigotry of the Left. The DNC Judiciary members, throughout 2004, blocked Catholics from the bench because of their religious faith. Schumer has vowed to continue the inquisition.
