i also quite like tom scholz's stuff with boston
jimmy page was amazing on record , not so hot live , his solo on 'achilles last stand' is still one of the all time greats imoComment

Boston is/was alright. Good groove. Nothing close to innovative though. IMO. Blackmore was so fucking boring, when compared to Ed or Page. I was never really into Led Zep though. I think this is a pretty goofy question in the first place. What James Honey-moon Scott brought to the pretenders, NO ONE could have. Then again, only andres segovia could be andres segovia. You wouldn't put Segovia in as a stand-in for Kurt Cobain, and vice-versa. Everyone contributes and innovates in thier own way. It's not about anything other than expressing YOURSELF.
