San Diego Show

Of course, some might disagree, but the San Diego show kicked ass. Dave seemed very relaxed and was having a good time.

Running with devil, Hot for Teacher (opening song), Panama, Yankee Rose, etc.. I did not write down the whole list, but he played a lot of the old VH. And as always for me, Ice Cream Man was the best. From his own stuff, Yankee Rose, Gigolo, Paradise, and California Girls were the only ones, everything else was VH.

DLR is still the man. I cannot wait to see him in Delaware.

And yes, he was worth every penny.

Dave's hair was as short as I've ever seen him wear it. Physically, the guy looked like a fucking Navy SEAL! Damn, he's in shape! Band sounded great, Brian's tone was excellent! Dave's voice was great, I think he could still pull off On Fire!

Also, Dan Ackroyd came out about 5 minutes before the show and sort of welcomed everyone to the new HOB. That was cool.

I was in my DLR Army t-shirt and got endless comments from people there. 5 blond chicks tried to tear it off me at one point. That was fun.

Security was crackin down pretty hard on cameras. The four of us didn't get any pics. Don't know about the rest of the army.

i was there with diamondgrl and her friend was one of the photographers.....

yea his hair was short, no goin crazy, there was one point where he slipped and nearly fell but he saved it with a joke. that was cool.

dan akroyd is HUGE. HOLY SHIT>

me, python3, dlrisgod and diamondgirl were all meeting there.
saw toshi outside....i talked with ray luzier for a couple minutes about the hideous sun demons after the show....he's truly a nice guy.

dave sang ok..... fun show. lots of "go go go" screams...i dont really dig that but hey, he's on stage, not me.

i would have liked to have seen shoo bop and goin crazy, but at least he did just like paradise.

i was front, first row of people, center stage and yes, i had jack daniels on me.

one thing i noticed is that dave actually hi fived people and shook hands with the audience....something he hasnt done in any boots, nor did he the last time i saw him....

oh the opening act was ok....one of those new retro bands...like jet or the darkness....old sounding garage music....
