Van Halen and DLR official pages

Have you seen the official sites? It's basicly the same site for VH and DLR. But in google results we are promised message board, pictures, news, etcetera, but I can't find any of that.

I only see merch, tour and the videos.

Am I missing something? Help me find.

It is a real shame... back in the late-90's through 2002, VH was a leader in internet band web sites. They had one of the most comprehensive vaults of historical info on the band and regular updates of anything going on. One of the first sites to actually host a discussion board for the fans... although that didn't turn out so well due to trying to cuntrol content and internet behaviors... They were even one of the first to post band video messages from the boys... Those were the days...

I believe the failed discussion board really soured the brothers on the internet and any close interaction from their fan base. They wanted all the love and smoke blown up their asses from the fans... unfortunately they didn't expect to hear the truth about their asshole antics involving how they treated Dave and the fans during the Hagar/Cherone change up... then the dark years settled in with Ed's divorce, cancer and dive to the bottom of the drug and wine bottles. Retreat was all they could muster up...

From talking to their former webmaster... they were geared up to launch a full blown web presence again in 2007. He had a fully updated site ready to roll... VH even hired a top notch web design outfit to do the graphic art portions and layout... Then the biggest fuck up in history emerged... What the FUCK were they thinking... Upon announcing the new site and showing a preview... some lame-assed dumbshit thought it would be cool to take the original first album artwork and replaced Michael Anthony's picture with Wolfgang's... Really bad move... the fan base responded vehemently displeased with that bullshit!!!

So the whole thing was yanked... tails tucked. Then during the 07/08 tour the band learned they could pull off a successful tour with no web site, no advertising, no interviews... Once again the fans lose, the band collects a huge paycheck and return happily to Howdy Doody Mountain.

This time around... they appear to have a clue on tipping the hat ever so slightly towards the fans, then quickly flipping it over to collect coin. Maybe there's hope... not much though.
