You just create a new party but of course like everything else you have to have financing to get anywhere which brings you to where the party you last were a member of failed in the the first place. Ralph Nader tried to beat the system and it just didn't work. He had to put a huge team together and spend a lot of money going county to county to get on most the ballots. I supported Ralph because I saw the Democrat and Republican parties as two cheeks on the same butt bought and paid for by the same special interests. Don't know what the answer is other than the spaghetti monster returning to earth and strangling all the SOB's.

Pete gave a decent speech at the meeting - but of course he was also voluntarily taking himself out of the running at the same time, because he had no votes, as nobody outside of Indiana knew him. I hope the guy has a decent political future, but as a gay man with "Peter" and "Butt" in his name, I can only imagine the type of attacks the Stormtrumpers would throw at him - all the typical jr high mentality bullshit that they live on.
