    January 1st Gameday--Bowl Day

Well...I can't say I'm thrilled about the games today...but there is one good one left to be played...and a few good ones today...well...one...

I'll get into that one in a second...

What do you all think about New Year's Day bowl games these days? Do you still revere it like you did a few years ago when they ALL were played? Or...isn't it the same now that the national title game is 4 days later...

I love New Year's Day...but it just isn't the same...

The LSU game was outstanding...just fucking outstanding...back and forth all day...

LSU scoring with 30 seconds left...then...somehow...Iowa completing a 56 yarder (non-hail mary by the way) as time expired...

very confusing ending...but a great one...

and Saban goes out a loser...

doesn't bode well for Miami now does it...

You're right bro, it is Go Blue today. :D

It is nowhere near what it used to be, and I'm not even sure why.

Used to be all fired up for Bowl games all day ... watched some of each and not all of any.

Yeah...before any of the games were on cable...it was insane...

my Dad and I would watch the rose ball parade...

in other words...I'd learn how to play blackjack or poker while the gay ass parade was on...

mom would cook up the pork and sauerkraut...

and we'd bring in 2 black and whites so we could have a main tv...and the other two stations on as well for the others...and off we'd go...

I'd watch all of all...but more like some of many...and the color ruled...lmfao...

Once they moved the national title game away...and left the New Years fanfare with a bunch of I don't matter games...

        well...

fuck if the day didn't change...

perhaps we could also add it to growing up...some of the magic disappears when you get older...

Hard to believe that Michigan has NEVER played Texas...that's fucking insanity...

actually looking forward to this game...

I dislike both...but both are good...

and Texas' first Rose...which is understandable...because of the traditional rivalries...

            but still boggles the mind...

Texas' key to win...50% completion percentage...and establish the run game...it's not Benson...but the QB that will win or lose the game...if he finds a way to loosen up the 8 in the box (even 9)...then the Wolverines are in trouble...

if Michigan stops the run...and contains the QB...the game will be close...

Michigan...freshman back and qb...damn...they are going to be good for awhile...

now if OSU can avoid probation...the next 3 years should be interesting in the Big 10 with Iowa, Wisconsin, OSU and Michigan...all young and hungry...

Did you see Royal and Schembechler?

Schembechler...talking about getting coach of the year because of his heart attack...while Royal had the national title...

Schembechler was laughing his ass off...

                Royal wasn't...lmfao...

                    ROT BLUE!!!

Not a longhorn fan...but I'll be damned if I'm going to root for the Queens...
