    61 again?

i was searching for baseball news in my cell phone yesterday and i came across a tidbit that some might find interesting.

Apparently a senator in north dakota wanted to get bud selig to change to HR record from 73(*) to its "true" record of 61. The guy said maris was the true owner of the record beacuse he wasn't juiced when he hit his dingers.

can't find the exact story as of now but i am searching...

what are your alls thoughts on this issue?

    Maris wasn't juiced.

      espn story

this is the dumbest thing in the world. do we take away mcgwire's and bonds' home runs? do they get zeros for the years we think they were on steriods?

do we lower the win totals of gaylord perry because he cheated?

      ridiculous.

If we took away McGwire & Bonds records then Maris still wouldn't hold the record. There is some guy named Sosa that has hit more than 61 & he testified to Congress that he never took steroids.
