NBC was just as happy as the Blackhawks. Another overtime and shootout victory for Chicago!!! Unfortunately once the Wings end up in the East, we won't be able to see these 2 great teams continue their rivalry as much.......

I'll take playing the other 5 Original 6 teams all day long & twice on Sunday over playing the Hawks....though they need to put Chicago in the East as well.......

This makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would they put detroit or Chicago in the east? they aren't even in the eastern timezone. This is going to be a pain in the ass for the red wings.......next year they are going to travel their asses off when the league goes back to a normal schedule.

Original 6 would be the perfect scenario for Hockey in general, not to mention that the Hawks would not have to fly to friggin Vancouver on a regular basis to deal with the whining "Sedin Sisters"......

Warning, kind of graphic. I turned this game on just as Malarchuk had been taken off the ice and there was a large pool of blood in front of his crease. He only survived because one of the Sabres' trainers was a former Army combat medic and Vietnam Vet...

Yeah, in Buffalo. Different building (not too far away from the old Aud). But still kind of weird.

The next season visited the doctors at the local hospital to thank them...

This was the Malarchuk vid. Mike Robitaille and Ted Darling were the announcers. This must have been a studio feed as you can hear the commercials on the audio at around the 1:00 mark...



I turned on the game about ten minutes after this and remember nothing but the huge pool of blood and a ton of fights...

Nasty. The way that blood was coming out it looked like his jugular got cut. Did the guy live? That's a lot of blood loss.
