The new FIFA rankings are out.
Scotland is now at 16th!!!
This is the highest it's ever been. We went up 4 places by not playing since the last time they published them. We got 57 points in February by not playing a fucking game? If we can avoid playing anyone at fooball for another few months we'll be in the top 10. Scotland has gone up 60 places in 2 years by sacking Bertie Voigts and playing less friendly matches.
Unfortunately there are still 3 teams higher in our group for the Euro 2008 qualifying. We're 16th in the World but 4th in our group and 14th in Europe. Co hosts for Euro 2008 Austria are at 63, 10 places below Uzbekistan.
England are 6th in the world?
Cameroon, Ghana and the Ivory Coast are just below us and above Mexico, Denmark, Russia and Poland.
The whole thing is fucking madness...
Thing is though that it matters a lot to countries like mine since it will determine whether we get to go to the next World Cup because it will decide who is in our group. There must be a better way of doing this.
