            It's good to see optimism is still alive and well.

            On paper this should be a close game, but ultimately an England win. I expect a close game, I expect England to take the US too lightly and for Rooney to get booked. However I still think it'll either be a draw or a narrow England win. It certainly won't be the walk over that a lot of people here are expecting.

                                It questionable that they should even be there. The game against Ireland should have been replayed after Henry's handball sent them through.

                                    I think the USA could be the dark horse of this WC, maybe to reach the quarters.

                                    That Mexican goalkeeper was bloody terrible, but amusing to watch to say the least.

                                        Fixture list is against it really. I think they'll finish runner up in the group stage, and that puts them very much on target for a 2nd Round tie against Germany. Yes the USA have improved over the last few years, and the Germans aren't the force they once where - that said I think it's a big ask for the US to beat Germany.

                                        However, it is the World Cup and upsets do happen.
