I can see it must get confusing because we get all annoyed when British is called English too.

When it's about football then there is no British, in that context it's like saying Scandinavian because the football teams are all separate.

When i talk to swedes we ALWAYS say England or english instead of Great Britain and british. I just change it here out of respect for you guys. But here GB is very rarely used.
