    Cincinnati School Teacher Singles Out Student Steeler Fan

    Students at schools across the Cincinnati metro area have been asked to show their support for the AFC North Champion Bengals by wearing orange and black to school each day during the week leading up to their first round play-off meeting with the Steelers. This marks the first time the Bengals have reached post season play in 15 years.

    One student at Western Hills High School was reprimanded by his teacher, Sandra Poindexter, during class for wearing a jersey featuring the name and number of steelers quarterback Ben Roethlesberger. The student was asked to stand at the front of the class while the teacher mocked him.

    Miss Poindexter asked him, "Why are you wearing a pittsburgh jersey to class today?

    The student replied, "Because I'm a Steelers fan."

    A confused Miss Poindexter then asked, "Why are you a Steelers fan, and not a Bengals fan?"

    The student replied, "THEY have a WINNING tradition, and besides my parents are Steelers fans."

    Then miss Poindexter asked, "So, you are a Steelers fan because your parents are Steelers fans?"

    To this the student replied, "Yes."

    A visibly angered miss Poindexter then asked, "So if your parents were retarded, then what would you be?"

    "I guess I'd be a Bengals fan!", said the student.

          That teacher should be the one that gets reprimanded....

          I'm all for community spirit, but to embarrass the student in front of the entire class, and then make stupid remarks on top of it, that crosses the line....

          Hopefully, the student will be the one who gets the last laugh on Monday morning....

                  If that was my son, I would be one pissed off parent....

                  High school is tough enough nowadays with peer pressure, then to get humiliated by the teacher is unsatisifactory...

                              and I don't really run into that shit since I'm out of the area I grew up in...

                              but being in ACC country...

                              I get asked this a lot..."Are you a State (NC State) fan..."

                              in which I gladly reply..."Yes, I am THE state (Ohio State)..."

                              But all the kids know I'm a Cavs, Steelers, Indians and Ohio State fan...

                              But if I were a parent...and a teacher did that to my kid...there'd be issues...for that teacher...

                              I'm a bit old school...and there are times where you bring a kid front and center for acting inappropriately...but never...ever...do you do it for a personal preference...

                              unless the personal preference is lighting shit on fire...
