Sure he isn't on the floor for offensive possessions in the Final minutes because of his free throws, but he has hit clutch free ones in this very Final and been a monster on D. He is on the floor for all defensive possessions in crunch time.
He scored more than a few dramatic, momentum building dunks last game.
Shaq hasn't done shit at the line that matters, he's 13-44...he's about as clutch from there as an armless man would be. It's sad when you see an arena full of people give a standing ovation on a made free throw. Are you kidding me? A free throw?
Blown free throws by Dallas. Oh well. Powers that be want a 6th and 7th game. So be it. More money pumped into the Dallas economy. Hit some damn shots once in a while and the Mavs will be OK. When (if?) the Mavs win, it's gonna be priceless watching Stern hand the trophy to Cuban. Stern must be sweating bullets.

Wade is a fine player, but it's laughable how often he gets to the line on things that even Michael Jordan would have a hard time justifying. And I can't tell you how many times he creates the contact or pushes off and never gets called...ever. And I still haven't figured out what he's done in this league to get this kind of treatment.

Dirk may have cost the Mavs a ring on a missed free throw.
Wade possibly won his first ring on two free throws last night.
Shaq-fu, for all his misses, seems to hit them when it matters, including these finals. He has done much this very series to help win games "when it matters" if you have watched with even one eye.

Dude, are you kidding?
Shaq made 2 of 12 free throws yesterday. 2 of 12!!! That's 16.67%! LOL. If he had made even HALF of his free throws, Dirk's miss wouldn't have made a bit of difference.
I do agree that Shaq has been more of a presence defensively in this series.

I watched him miss all of his free throws yesterday.
I'm talking about game three when he hit his two in the last minute or so and Dirk hit only one of two later, in the last few seconds, to cost his team.

His free throw shooting in game 3 was better. But I don't understand how anyone can defend his free throw shooting in any way. It's downright embarrassing. If I were Shaq, I would spend every free minute practicing my free throws.

Try this...grab a miniature basketball and a hoop that is relative in size...
It is harder to reliably throw the damn thing.
Shaq should be able to manage a free throw, but I imagine his hand size cannot help his shooting.
Try it before you laugh.
I can knock down threes with relative ease on the court, but when I go in my back yard with a little ball and smaller hoop, it is harder.

Shaq has done nothing in this series...and certainly nothing when it matters. Dallas could have fouled him all day, he couldn't hit water if he fell out a fucking boat from the line. He's beyond awful....13-44...anyone of us could do better.
Wade won the game on two free throws he didn't deserve you are right on that one.
