either Charlotte or Memphis would be grate, The sting of losing the World Series wouldn't have been as bad had it been to a city that auctually cares about Baseball like Cleveland does.

Did selig put the marlins in Miami? That guy is the Worst Commish ever.

After last season ended, the Marlins said they couldn't build a new stadium because it was to costly...and that they needed a new stadium to compete and draw. The Marlins than listed several cities they were pondering, including Las Vegas, Portland, Charlotte, Monterrey, Mexico, New Jersey, Norfolk, Virginia, and San Antonio, as possible places where they could move. They met with San Antonio, who essentially said, we don't have to change anything, and we could fund a new stadium. They met with Portland. Portland had okayed the building of a baseball only stadium in 2003, but said they wouldn't okay the final deal...so it looks like Portland is out...

Norfolk made a play...having a plan all set up to try and draw the Expos, and it's a good plan. The City already owns the land they'd build the stadium on, and the taxes are already in place...nothing raised. Marlins officials have been in contact, but haven't met with them yet.

Charlotte is going to meet with Marlin leaders now that they've got approval for a 38,000 seat stadium, with a retractable roof...so they can use it as a host for concerts and final fours. I don't THINK that Charlotte has the fans to goto these games...but you never know...

With all this said...right now...the Marlins are tantalizingly close to announcing a move to San Antonio...who has had Loria in the box for Spurs games...

                among other things...

they have a plan in place for a 300 million dollar stadium...but 200 million would be tax dollars...so who knows...

                  Um...Cleveland occasionally cares about baseball...

I've been a fan for years..season tickets...the whole nine yards...

and when you are sitting in an 80,000 (for baseball) seat stadium...with 2500 other fans...watching a game...

...then...the sell out nearly 500 in a row...and why? Yeah...they were good...but you know why else?...cuz it was the thing to do...the FLATS were hot back then...

Now...the Flats are out (although twona tells me the warehouse district is in play), and apparently so are the Indians...who had a fantastic season last year...as good as ANY season from the 90's...

and they couldn't sell out a fucking game...ridiculous...

                            Cubs sweep cards..indication?
NO but helps with confidence with any team to beat & sweep your biggest rival..espn is blowing up the sweep/saying
                            cubs dont deserve any credit..
which i do agree, but like i said..
                            as any team goes, confidence
                            can build any team especially
young, to push them to the next level..we'll see if it pans out, if they go on a run thru
                            april..i may get some credit
                            coming

Friday night A-Rod became the youngest/fastest player to reach 450 careeer homeruns. It was also his 2,000th career hit.

After outstanding defensive play last year, this year he's having all sorts of problems.

For the first time in quite awhile it looks like the wildcard may not come from the AL East.
