I went to the Baseball Hall of Fame. And, I must say it is a truly fascinating place. I took pics and I'll post them when I get a chance. I highly recommend it to any baseball fan.
It's a must see!!

No doubt...to anyone that hasn't gone...you need to...
and it's not a one day trip...
the first time...I went for one day...
the second time...for 3...
it was outstanding...I concur...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."
Yeah, went again last year with my youngest son...
One day is rushing it too much...
One day is good for the Hall itself...
You need another day just for the memorabilia shopping on Main St. !!
Last time, I got a Bill Mazeroski autographed pic of him rounding 3rd base in Game 7 of the '60 Series...
THEN, we went to Mickey's Place (Mantle's store before he died, still uses his name) and discovered that Clete Boyer (3rd baseman, '60 Yankees) was there signing autographs...
I bought a new ball, then I had a little fun with him...
I started talking about the '60 Series, he basically said that they were pouncing the Pirates when they won, but the Pirates squeaked out the other 3 games....
Then I brought out the Maz photo and joked if he would autograph it...
He said, "you really want me to sign that ??"...
I said, "No, that's OK".... :D
Then he signed our ball, took a picture with my son, and that was that...
But no shit, there are so many baseball shops on that one street that you get tired of looking at everything... You need to pace yourself...

Cool pix EVH...I went with my wife (who is from New York and claims to be a Yankee fan...in 2004 I asked her who played 3rd base for the Yankees...she said Mariano Rivera) in 2003 and loved the whole thing. It was my first Hall Of Fame visit of any sport, and I was so surprised that the main 'hall' is exactly that: A wood-paneled hall with plaques and benches. No frills, just plaques and benches (I think there were benches, maybe there werent even benches...)
The exhibits upstairs were cool, but I need more time to soak all the memorabilia in...
And the memorabilia shops on that main street!...If I had a million dollars...
I took some pix, if I can find them I will post them...
Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"
