Roger Goodell's statement regarding the suspensions of Adam Jones (season) and Chris Henry (8 games) lets them (and serves as notice to all other current and future NFL players) know that the standards for NFL players, while still probably not as high as Joe Average, have been raised to level that should keep all players and others safely.
I think it's great! This type of action has been needed for a LONG time. If the shitheads aren't smart enough to keep themselves out of trouble, they don't deserve the cash and fame of the NFL lifestyle (though they're pretty diverse amounts of money between Jones and Henry). Let them go be 'bangers or something.
I think it's just as great that not only the NFLPA and Titans owner Bud Adams have supported Goodell's decision. (Because, in all reality, it is in the best interest of the players' well being.)
