Depends really.I would say Floyd has a pretty good chin.Plus the only time i have seen him down is a quick one against Judah.Chop Chop Corley once rocked him but Floyd still stood right in front of him,So I would say he has a good chin

Based on how he recovered from a pretty good shot from Mosely, I don't doubt his chin... my concern is Cotto's hook might be a bit tougher though...should be an interesting fight!

If i was Cotto i would try and use a similar plan to Jose Luis Castillo.He was able to bully Floyd to the ropes and bang away.If Cotto can use his superior strength and weight advantage he may be able to keep Floyd on the ropes and erode him.If Cotto can stay mentally strong,Cool headed and stick with his game plan he may have a shot.Cotto has superior power and Floyd has said before he will go toe to toe with him,So there is also that.However,Cotto comes to fight so he is a big target and if he slips for a second Mayweather can pick him apart. Defiantly an interesting fight

Yeah, no way can Cotto match Floyd on speed and accuracy...or on boxing skills in general...but the dude can hit HARD...still, there's a chance he'll make him look like a bigger idiot than PacMan did.

Cotto has a defense which is too porous.

If you look at the punch stats from most of his fights, his opponets often land 40-50% of their punches. 25-30% is good - that tell's you everything you need to know. It's the reason that Pacman's whirlwind style was so effective, and it's the reason that Floyd will be able to hit him at will.

Cotto doesn't have the speed - or the footwork - to 'bully' Floyd into the ropes. Ortiz - who is faster and younger - tried that. The fact the Floyd willingly accepted this fight at 154 tells us all we need to know about how Team Mayweather views Cotto's chances.

To be honest Floyd will probably end up making Cotto look foolish.His only real chance is to keep to the inside as he does not have the skill to out box him (I really don't want to come of as slamming Cotto here).He is an ok inside fighter but Mayweather fights great where ever hes at. outside,inside, mid range. I like Cotto, but he is past his best and this fight should have happened years ago when the hype and the demand was at its highest

I don't want to come off as laying into Cotto, either.

Personally, I don't buy the 'past his best' line. He's not as aggressive as he once was, and he's had some losses, but he's looked good in recent fights. He's a very good fighter who'll take on anyone, but put him in with the great 147 or 154 fighters and he won't win. No shame in that.

And if Saul Alvarez beats Shane Mosely on the same night (which isn't a given) they I expect we'll see Floyd-Alvarez right after Floyd has done his time.

Don't know if you caught any of the sugar ray bbc interview or any of the other press he was doing . He was very vocal about that old chest nut mayweather vs PAC . He went along the lines money fame fortune are all good but he thought if they didn't fight it would always leave a question mark over there legendary status .. He almost pitched it as for there own peace of mind in the future they would regret not fighting .. Or that's how I read it

I would not say Alvarez will definitely beat Mosley,This is still Shane Mosley we are talking aboutHe will come to fight,and as this should really be his last fight before he moves behind the scenes he will come to win.I am rooting for Mosley in this one but i say Alvarez probably takes this one.It would be an interesting fight but personally I don't think Alvarez is ready for Mayweather.Although props to him for wanting to fight the best
