Oh yeah, he said it was a conspiracy by Don King to keep a white man from holding the title, then he said it was impossible for a man to get it from a woman (he said he got his from drugs), then he said the disease itself was an invention of the government, then he said he was healed by God, then he said he never had it in the first place (his current appearance says he does). He's a nut.

He's also the same guy who fought on national televison with obvious pec implants to shore up his non-juicing appearance.

He was certainly exciting, in the way that most punchers are. But i think he was a little lazy - he relied on his power too much to really reach his potential.

He's as much of a lunatic and embarassment (but not as much of a waste of talent) as Riddick Bowe, the eleven day marine.

I do remember it. Both of those fighters never reached their potenial (although Bowe was obviously much more guilty of that). After Holyfield, what did Bowe really do?

Some people (I'm not one of them) will tell you Hide out-speeded Bowe and hurt him a couple of times early on. I think he should have stayed down after one of the first five knockdowns.

Hide looked awsome he was banging away but it was like a bee stinging an elephants arse , it looked like one of those movies were they have messed with the depth to make one person look bigger than the other ..bowe just kept banging him down .. and god bless him hide just kept getting up.

He got his ass beaten pretty badly by Andrew Golota, TWICE.

I read in 2010 he wanted to make a comeback, I'm sure it's because he's dead-assed broke and doesn't know how to do anything else. I honestly think he's bad brain damaged, probably from not training hard and then trying to lose weight at the last minute, decreasing the amount of cerebrospinal fluid around his brain and exposing it to punishment.
