Bhop is up there in terms of achievements, but I think he'd struggle with guys who can move and fenit.

In terms of ability, RJJ belongs on that list - in terms of achievements at 160, he doesn't.

I think there are plenty of other guys we could mention:

          Rocky Graziano
          Tony Zale
          Mike McCallum
          Marcel Cerdan
          Emile Griffith

For my money, Carlos Monzon was the best 160 fighter ever.

As for Pavlik, I think he's done. Too many problems out of the ring + long layoffs and a fighter who wasn't all that great in the first place (he's really a puncher who cleaned out a weak division) = no more time at the top.

I really don't think he can compete with the top 10 guys at 168, and at 160 Martinez has too much for him. I'd pay to see him fight Abraham at 160, or Chavez. But if I was managing him I would want at least 3 tunes ups.

Yeah I ain't so hot on older boxers except heavyweights , which to be honest was always What held my interest until people pointed me in the direction of other weigh divisions .. I come from the big 70's heavyweights being on tv so that was what got me hooked ... No pun lol

The more I learn about boxing, the more I think that the heavies are actually the least interesting. Sure, you get the power, but skills are much more prevalent lower down the weights.

135-160 is the best. Below that, you have to really, really watch because the speed can be insane!

It's what ur exposed to initially , it was initially the big fellas ... Then the hagler/hearns/Durant era ..... Then kinda the benn/Eubank era .... A lot of what I could experience what was on tv or what u could read about and at the time sport wasn't on tv as much as it has been since sky/ppv etc .... Oh don't know if u have ever tried to read about boxing it never captures the moment very well ..... What did Zappa say about critics writing about music ..... "writing about music is like dancing about architecture " or something lol

I've experienced the same problem. Despite generating huge $$$ boxing is a niche sport which doesn't get a lot of mainstream attention. You have to really search out the writing etc.

Eastsideboxing is a good website to use.

Boxing News or Ring are good magazines.

Can't imagine he'd come back - it's been, what, 8 years? And he can't need the money.
